Mobile Data

3 questions

Casphone Mobile suggests assessing typical usage patterns. Light users needing mostly texting and browsing might require 1-2 GB monthly. Moderate users streaming music or occasional videos could need 3-5 GB. Heavy users streaming HD content or frequently using apps might require 10 GB or more. Consider lifestyle factors like travel and on-the-go usage. Casphone's plans offer flexibility with data bolt-ons for adjusting based on changing needs. Monthly usage review helps find the right plan. For assistance, call "1300 001 240" or email enquiries@casphonemobile.com.au.

Casphone Mobile has developed a Data Usage Calculator to help predict data requirements. Users can access this tool by clicking the provided link on their website. For additional help, contact support at "1300 001 240" or enquiries@casphonemobile.com.au.

Yes. Casphone Mobile offers two data pack options: a 1GB pack for $10 and a 5GB pack for $20, both adding data for the billing cycle. Both can be applied as one-time purchases or recurring monthly charges. The company can also disable data top-ups so service stops after data allowance is consumed. Contact customer service at "1300 001 240" Option 4 then Option 1, or log into your customer account to add a pack.

Fraud Protection

4 questions

Scammers seek financial gain through various tactics. They may trick people into immediate payments, steal identities, or gain remote computer access to read emails and banking information. They might steal bank account access, use credit cards, or incur debts using stolen identities. Premium rate number schemes involve brief calls from scammers hoping victims callback, resulting in high charges billed to phone accounts. Tax time scams impersonate the Australian Taxation Office. Threat-based scams falsely claim government agency involvement with overdue fines. Charity impersonation occurs during disasters. Spoofing tools send texts appearing from the victim's own handset. Parcel delivery scams recommend downloading malicious software or request payment for unordered parcels. Prize scams ask for account details. Smishing involves misleading personal messages with dangerous links. Bogus texts claim streaming accounts will be cancelled or congratulate on winning prizes with dangerous links. Fraudsters continually develop new scam methods. Learn more from www.cyber.gov.au, www.scamwatch.gov.au, www.communications.gov.au, and the "Little Black Book of Scams" at www.accc.gov.au.

Casphone Mobile is committed to fraud protection. Phone scammers use deceptive tactics to obtain personal information, payments, or account access through impersonation and false urgency. Casphone provides steps to enhance safety.

Protecting personal information involves sharing details only with trusted entities online, by phone, via text, or in person. Don't share personal information with unknown callers or texters, as scammers can answer security questions using stolen details like dates of birth. Contact your financial institution immediately if compromised. Change default PINs and passwords on new devices immediately, using strong, non-guessable combinations. Change PINs, passcodes, and passwords regularly since old credentials sold online after hacks can be exploited. Lock mobile handsets with secure PINs and enable auto-lock after non-use. Ensure voicemail PINs are secure and enabled. Don't respond to texts or missed calls from unknown numbers; if legitimate, callers leave messages. Let unknown calls go to voicemail and decide whether to return calls based on messages left. Talk to family or friends about questionable calls. Never take computer actions at a caller's, emailer's, or SMS sender's request. Don't download software, visit webpages, click links, fill forms, or open emails from untrusted sources.

Contact Casphone Mobile immediately to report a lost device. Phones have built-in security features: Samsung devices use Find My Mobile; Google Pixel uses Find My Device; iPhones use the Find My app. Call "1300 001 240" to suspend service, issue a new SIM card, and block the IMEI. Report the loss to police in case fraudulent activities occur with the handset or SIM.

Since 1 July 2026, all organisations must officially register sender IDs with the Australian Media and Communications Authority's (ACMA) SMS Sender ID Register before texting. A sender ID is a short alphanumeric header showing which organisation sent the message (e.g., 'ATO' or 'myGov'). Registration combats spoofing scams where fraudsters fake sender IDs to impersonate trusted brands and government agencies, appearing in legitimate message threads to seem genuine. The ACMA SMS Sender ID Register creates a verified organisation list protecting users against impersonation scams. Telcos must disrupt messages using unregistered sender IDs. Registered sender IDs now display organisation names or abbreviations; unregistered ones show 'Unverified'. Check with organisations directly or visit official websites if unsure. 'Unverified' messages aren't automatically scams but warrant caution—avoid clicking links or sharing information unless certain of legitimacy. Users need take no action; the ACMA manages the register and telcos ensure compliance. More information available on the "ACMA's SMS Sender ID Register page."

Casphone Mobile billing cycles are assigned numbers between 1 and 28. Bills are received at the end of the billing cycle, usually 2 days after month-end, viewable online or via mobile app. Payment is generally due about 14 days after bill receipt, with exact due dates listed on bills and account details. Example: if billing cycle is 3, the bill arrives on the 5th and is due by the 19th. First bills always have 2-month charges—no initial charge upon service start, but month-used plus advance month charges appear on the first bill. Subsequent bills have 1-month charges plus applicable account fees (instalments, excess charges, etc.). From "1 December 2025," new activations must pay first-month plan charges and applicable Product Repayment Plan instalments upfront, applied as credit on first bills offsetting total amounts due.
