Data Banking & Gifting - How it works

What is Data Banking?

Data Banking allows you to save your unused included data and use it later when it suits you. Any unused data from your monthly cycle automatically transfers to your Data Bank rather than disappearing.

For instance, if your plan provides 30GB monthly and you consume only 10GB, the remaining 20GB gets added to your Data Bank. When the next month starts, you'll access both your fresh monthly allowance and the 20GB stored balance.

You can accumulate up to 1000GB of unused included data in your Data Bank on eligible plans.

What is Data Gifting?

Data Gifting allows you to share some of your included monthly plan data with another active Casphone Mobile customer. Distribution occurs through the Casphone Mobile App or Online Customer Portal.

Data gifts can be made in 1GB, 5GB or 10GB amounts, and you can make multiple gifts throughout the month, provided you remain within the Data Gifting rules.

How Much Data Can I Gift?

You can gift up to 50% of your plan's included monthly data allowance each month. However, you cannot exceed what remains available from your current monthly allocation.

You must also have at least 128MB of data remaining after each gift is completed.

On a 30GB plan, the maximum giftable amount reaches 15GB monthly. For example, with 20GB remaining the maximum to gift is 15GB; with 15GB remaining the maximum is 15GB; with 10GB remaining the maximum is 10GB; with 5GB remaining the maximum is 5GB.

• The maximum giftable amount is the lower of: 50% of your monthly included data allowance; or your remaining included monthly data balance.
• Gift 10GB to a family member and later gift another 5GB to a friend (total gifted = 15GB).
• Gift 5GB today and another 5GB next week, provided you still have sufficient included data remaining.
• You cannot gift more data than you have remaining in your included monthly allowance.

What Happens to Gifted Data?

When a customer receives a data gift, the gifted data is immediately added to their service.

Gifted data is used before the recipient's included monthly data allowance. This preserves more of their monthly allocation for future use.

If the recipient does not use all of their gifted data before their next monthly renewal, any unused gifted data will automatically roll into their Data Bank. For example, receiving a 10GB gift but using only 4GB means the remaining 6GB transfers to their Data Bank at cycle end.

Once data has been gifted and received, it cannot be transferred or gifted to another customer. Recipients can only use gifted data themselves.

Important Data Gifting Rules

Only your current month's included plan data can be gifted.

Data Banking and Data Gifting are separate features. Your Data Bank reserves storage for personal future use and activates automatically when monthly included data runs low. Any data stored in your Data Bank cannot be gifted or transferred to another customer.

For example, with a 30GB plan and 100GB in your Data Bank, your gifting limit stays based solely on the current month's 30GB allowance. Your Data Bank balance remains available exclusively for your personal future consumption.

• Any other promotional or non-included data allowances

How Do I Gift Data?

Simply log in to the Casphone Mobile App or Online Customer Portal and select the Data Gifting option. Both parties receive notifications confirming successful data gift completion.

You can gift data to any active Casphone Mobile customer on an eligible plan that supports Data Gifting.
